Vent location in enclosure
Hello all,
I was just doing some research before building my enclosure and noticed a lot of folks put vents "whether on the front back or sides" at the same heights. I then came across an article that suggested putting one vent low on one side "on the hot side" and the other vent high "on the cool side. The general idea is, hot air rises so as the heat hits the floor it rises an does not escape "as fast" as if it was located towards the bottom of the enclosure. Additionally, the cool side vent is placed on the side closer to the top "as cold air tends to stay low" of the enclosure supposedly releasing the heat slower as circulation works its way across the enclosure, while causing circulation/fresh air in the enclosure to move in a diagonal direction and creating a gradual temp difference as you work your way up the enclosure from hot to cool side. Has anyone tried this method of ventilation in their enclosures? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Obviously keeping them at the same heights on either side of the enclosure works for a lot of ppl, but is there anything to this method? Thanks for any help,
