Snake shed information. Tongue sheds!

A post on another forum i frequent (thamnophis.com garter snake) prompted me to look into if snakes shed their tongue skin...they do!
I found this document that puts things into a nice easy to read format. For those new folks that don't know much about shedding, it's a good read.

It's something I never would have thought about, or realized the snakes did. If I had seen a little squiggle of shed, I would have assumed it was a piece of the normal shed. Now i'm going to keep my eyes open for it!
