Aside from that, the odd treat to get them excited, like cactus fruit or collard greens. Keep in mind that they are designed for low protein foods. Greens and veggies are hard on their kidneys and liver as they have to then filter out the excess proteins. Over the years that can lead to problems and organ failure eventually.

If you want to add some plants, even ones that it can eat, put in some succulents. If you can find a great big aloe vera plant and put that in there he will munch on it and it looks cool. Alfalfa also works and is edible for them.
