Regurg caused by over feeding??
Okay guys, I fed my little columbian rainbow a fuzzy last Wednesday. She had no problems. The fuzzy's are about 1.5 times the size of the thickest part of her body. This Sunday (yesterday), we fed our other two snakes and she had digested the other from Wednesday fine and was moving all around her enclosure like she was searching for food, so I went ahead and fed her another fuzzy. This was about 11:00 yesterday morning. This morning she seemed fine. I saw her drinking some water and she still had a lump in her tummy. I went in there a minute ago and she had regurgitated the fuzzy. It was somewhat digested, not much since it was just fed yesterday, but was wet and had some brown on it and was really smelly. I figure I either overfed or the fact that I had treated her enclosure with Provent-a-mite the day before may have caused a problem? I didn't feed her in the treated enclosure of course, I use a seperate feeding tub. Also I treated her enclosure as a precaution since I had found a few mites on my other rainbow. I treated the enclosures Saturday night and didn't put the snakes back in until Sunday morning, then fed a few hours later in their tubs. Anyway, I'm going to wait a week to 10 days and feed a pinky instead of a fuzzy. Any thoughts on whether I just over fed or possibly the PAM or both?? Also, my other snakes have not regurgitated as of yet and their enclosures were also treated; however neither had eaten in 7 days.
