Mites in the middle of bloody winter =(

It happens to everyone eventually, but I always expected to get mites during the spring or summer when I was buying new herps, not in the middle of the winter with two feet of snow on the ground. Three days ago, I had my CRB out, and she had no mites. Yesterday, she's covered in mites. A quick check confirmed that the mites have spread to other rooms. I haven't been to a pet store, or bought a new herp in months. All I can think is I brought them home from the herp vet (I had a snake there about 2 weeks ago, and he didn't have mites). I know they're going to be a pain in the butt to get rid of. I know it's going to be even harder than usual because it's about 50 degrees too cold outside to move my herps outside and bomb my house. Do products like reptile relief (that claim to kill mites on contact) actually work? Or is my only option to strip the affected enclosures, bake/soak everything, wash it all down with bleach, and soak my herps in a betadine solution? I've read that the products that kill mites are also fatal to reptiles.
