Adults in a 22 gallon

I am thinking about getting some pygmys or another small chameleon. I have a spare aquarium (which could potentially house the pygmys) and I also have a spare 22 gallon reptarium. The dimensions of the reptarium are 12.5x12.5x24 (24 high) and I was wondering if there was a chameleon that could live its entire life in the 22 gallon? I was thinking carpet chameleon (which get about 7 inches?) but I am not certain. I want him to be healthy and happy in his home. I know bigger is always better, but having that reptarium there is just hurting me.

Let me know.
