radiant heat panels

I've heard of people using these for iguanas when they keep them indoors or even outdoors. Well, I have a cage that I had set up for my savannah monitor and I ended up having to get rid of him so I could free the cage for my burmese python. I'm not getting anymore large reptiles, so I don't have to worry about spacing out. Anyhoo, the cage is 8 x4 and is located in the garage. It's getting pretty cold now, and in a day it went from about 85 degrees F to 45 degrees F. My question is... would it be possible to have this as a sufficient heating source for my burmese python and not worry about it getting too cold in the cage? We are redoing it so it works like a room and the heat will supposedly be locked inside. Of course the air holes will allow some heat to pass, but I'm hoping it will work out great. I also have spaces for overhead heating and undertank heating pads. Any and all information is appreciated. Thanks!
