Feeding Burms

I was wondering why people advise against feeding burms huge meals. I have read that you shouldn't be able to see the lumps in the belly of the snake. I don't understand this, in the wild snakes eat massive meals, and then they don't eat for..... well who knows how long. Why bother feeding five rats when you can feed one big bunny and then not feed for a few weeks or a month?

I do not own a burm yet, it will be a year or two, I'm just curious and doing my research for the future.

Thanks!
