Around the cottage.

Wasn't really looking for anything but managed to come across these two things.

here's a catipillar doing this jig in mid air, was really cool the way it was climbing it's invisible thread by twisting back and forth.




Heres some spiderwebs in the grass, I've never seen them before. (i should probably get up earlier).




There's also lots of toads and frogs, some turtles, salamanders, the odd gartersnake and lord knows what else about. (we have a pond and a swamp on the property which makes it good for herping). We also get hawks, loons and large owls (i'm not into birds so i have no idea what kind) and various mammals such as otter, beavers, porcupines and of course skunks. otters and beavers are discuraged as they do too much damage to the pond system (one otter can clean the pond out of fish in a single winter).
