Bathing Corns

I've read that corns (all snakes I s'pose) likes to take baths, but I'm a little curious to how many and how often? I see them bathing quite often. (They are the cutest when they both curl up inside the waterdish together and just has there heads popped up over hte surface =)

Now I read somewhere that snakes often found bathing could be a sign of mites, but I've checked them for black spots(?) and can't see anything out of the ordinary.. or so I think, since I'm not really sure what a mite look like. Does anyone have a link to a pic or something like that where mites is clearly shown?
