Vivexotic Vivarium and Humidity

Hi folks, I have 2 x 3ft Vivexotic viv's that have the new airflow system and I can't get the humidity any higher than 46%, unless I turn the thermostat off and let the viv cool down and then it will go up to 80% but then the temps come down. I have blocked the vents at the back and blocked the Airflow vents with sealant and I use unprinted newspaper as substrate.

Perhaps I can't see the wood for the trees, so any ideas folks.

My snake room is 9ft x 9ft and the room Temp is 20.5 and humidity 58%
