First Successful feeding!
Just happy to say that my Red Tail ate for the first time in my care the other day. Really cool to see this in person, as ive never seen a snake eat in real life, and was a cool experience! He refused his first meal when he first got here (the previous owner failed to mention he was in shed at the time), but now he ate like a champ!

Re: First Successful feeding!
Good on you. Shows the snake is settling in and you're getting the care right. Remember, don't feed again for 3 weeks or so.
Also, a technicality but yours is not a red tail. Yes, they are sometimes called that, usually by the pet trade to make them sound more attractive but it is incorrect.
In any event they are quite attractive enough without making up names for them. They really are on of the most beautiful snakes around...

Re: First Successful feeding!
Congrats! I've noticed a lot of snakes refuse to eat while in shed, so that would probably explain it. As mentioned, hold off on the next meal for at least 3 weeks, 4 weeks being preferable.
