Uromastyx help!

Hello, I bought two Egyptian uromastyx one week ago male female about 2 months old maybe a little older. At first the female was more alive then the male then it slowed switched the females skin almost looks saggy and all she does is sleep all day long doesn't move. She will eat if I put her in the food dish. any help with what's going on here. I know they say don't said Uros but I feel like she's dehydrated?

Dehydrated maybe? I'm not experienced on URO care.
Maybe the male is harrassing her? I don't agree with cohabbing anything unless for breeding. Try putting her in a separate tank for a bit to help her get better without the Mr.. Animals don't care if they're related either boy is boy and girl is girl and they do what they do.

What are your temps? These guys like it quite hot. Thats my first suspision.

It's hot really hot 120-125 basking and it down grades from there to the other side of the tank.

When I get wild caught stuff in they often come in dehydrated. What I do for them is put them in a small appropriate sized container with 1/4-1/2 inch of pedialite. If theyre dehydrated they will chug it bak and it turns them around quite quickly. if dehydration is the issue that should take care of it. I have never kept uros myself so beyond that Im personally not sure. I hope that helps and hopefully others that keep those guys as well may have some further advice for you.

i had two uros and they weren't overly active, but from your picture, the girl doens't look right. What are you feeding them?

Lots of greens spring mix dandelion kale lots of other greens. What I feed my tortoise also flax seed millet and lentils. I have had her a week and she hasn't earn once. The other one is thriving. No bullying nothing to stop her. She barely moves now. Tonight she hasn't even moved from the basking area. She's still sleeping there.

Sounds like priority #1 is getting her hydrated. Try putting her in a small contained with pedialite and see if she will drink.

Thats more than just dehydrated, especially if it was eating for you before. I would guess parasites but youll need someone to take a look at the little one. Sounds like its time for a trip to the vet.

She ended up passing this morning. I tried to rehydrate. I was told she was captive I was told I'll be talking to the owner of where I bought her tomorrow morning.

Ya, I would definitely talk to the breeder you bought her from. Two months is pretty young still to sell uros. They dont develop as quickly as other lizards in my experience, so its not great to sell them until they are a little older.

I am not new to keeping that's for sure. I finally spoke to the owner. He questioned me on a a lot then was stumped when I answered correctly. Basically I am going back to the store to find some of equal value. Think I'm just going to breed my girlfriend fat tail. She has had him for 13 years and she would like his genes to continue on.
