Shed

My ball python started getting dull skin like 2 and half weeks ago and has had cloudy blue eyes since thursday. He still is yet to start actually shedding his skin. I mist his tank every day a few times a day, i put something in there for him to rub on so he can peel off the skin & i even take him out once a day and let him soak in warm water and run through my hands. I dont get why he hasnt started actually shedding. I want to feed him because he hasnt eaten in the 2 weeks because he wont eat in shed.

Re: Shed

You were correct in that he was preparing to shed a couple weeks ago. You were wrong in the time frame.

Snakes usually take a week from when their eyes go cloudy blue. Once they revert back to normal it's then a day or two away.

Re: Shed

The whole shedding process can take a really long time. I've had snakes go off feed for a full month just to shed. There's no need to rush it. Like Aaron said, you can expect your snake's eyes to go clear at some point and that will be an indicator that he will shed very soon.
