ALL my pets!
Just wanted to show everyone all my pets. There are a lot of others I have kept in the past, but this is what I've currently got now. All of these pictures were taken today!
This is PJ(technically "Princess Jasmine", but nobody calls her that), my 6lb Siamese/Himalayan cross who just celebrated her Sweet Sixteen this April:
Tesla, female tangerine albino honduran, currently my oldest but not my first snake:
Sherkaner, female black pine, likes to puff up, thinks she's much bigger than she really is:
Kepler, female snow southern pine, secretly my favorite snake:
Calcifer(fired down), female(virgin) red striped gargoyle gecko, has given me 2 fertile eggs thus far out of many duds, one failed to fully develop and the other is in incubation right now:
Howl(fired down), hopefully male high red gargoyle gecko(still developing his reds, but the parents are very intense bright red), Calcifer's future mate if my hopes come to fruition:

Re: ALL my pets!
Kero, mature female of an unknown species in genus Paraphysa(now synonymous with Euathlus), one of two wild caught individuals looked at by several experts but never identified(no others have been found in the wild), possibly a naturally occurring hybrid:
Terrible picture of E'ro, juvenile female Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens, builds cool webs but hates to be looked at:
Nessus, mature female Cyriocosmus elegans, loves to dig, raised from a 1/8" spiderling in a tic tac container to this:
Navi, juvie female Euathlus sp. "yellow" with dirt on her, loves to pile dirt into water dishes:
Yoda, mature female Euathlus truculentis(formerly Paraphysa sp. "chilean tiger"), mysteriously attracted to humans:
Frodo, subadult male Brachypelma albopilosum, eats like a garbage disposal:
Vesper, 14 year old mature female Eupalaestrus campestratus, very picky eater but reportedly ate every male her former owner had paired her with:
Zelda, subadult suspected female Grammastola rosea, my first tarantula whom I have had for nearly 4 years and still has never molted:

Tarantulas don't need to eat very often. My young ones eat once a week because they're still growing but the adults and sub adults only eat twice a month, sometimes less depending on how hungry they are(Zelda in particular often refuses meals) They are animals that use very little energy I guess it's easier here though because feeder bugs can be purchased at pet stores so I don't have to go hunting.

Re: ALL my pets!
Awesome pets I love the tarantulas. I remember there was some tarantula burrows where I worked in the Dominican Republic. I would see them hanging out in front of their burrows at dusk, and eventually I gave them names and would stoop to say hi and look at them each night. They became my wild tarantula buddies, haha!

Re: ALL my pets!
Haha I expected mixed opinions about the spiders. If I still had jumping spiders, I'm sure some of the "nope bugs" crowd would be swayed a little bit :P Cutest little things.
I never really thought much of spiders until I started keeping tarantulas and doing my own research. They've made me realize that there's no such thing as "just a spider". They're very complex animals, and there's such an incredible amount of diversity amongst the different groups. I don't think I'll ever run out of things to learn about them.

Haha, I'm like ladybug87, cat, geckos and snakes are sooo cute, you're having a great little bunch... but spiders are just scary (I'm having arachnophobia, so you know.. )

Re: ALL my pets!
I like all but the spiders... they are so pretty but so....NOPE. I'm happy to see people enjoying them however... I'll stick to observing from a distance. I was just wondering... I find the female orb weaver very pretty (also native to my area) does anyone keep them?

Re: ALL my pets!
Nice collection, Prairiepanda.
And for the rest of you, come on! If you're going to have this attitude about a tarantula, then you can't say anything when people don't like your snakes.

Huh, I don't know about the others, but I'm perfectly fine, when someone is telling me that he's afraid of snakes. I know how it is with me being afraid of even small spiders... I just don't like when people are all "that's a horrible monster, you should kill it" about someone pets. Even if this is about spiders that I don't like. I just know that people can feel the same way about my dog or gecko
