Hello! I'm new. It's nice to be here. I'm hoping someone can help me ID this snake that I surprising discovered lounging on my back deck today. I can't seem to figure out what it is. I'm in central Alabama, if that helps. Thanks so much! I'm not able to post a link... getting denied. So maybe just copy and paste into browser. Will need to add "http" at the beginning of it. Sorry.

Thanks everyone for the reply and ID of the snake. It is a pretty snake. I don't know a lot about them, but I'm learning now that I've transferred and live in the South and around them outdoors much more often. I enjoy seeing them while I'm out walking on wooded trails, spotting them swimming in the lakes, etc. They seem to be very abundant here.
