I'll be bringing my baby corn snake home this weekend. Am looking at the under the tank heat mats. It's in a 10 gal tank now. How big should the mat be and what should the wattage be on it?
When is say baby I am talking like this thing is about the size of a pencil if that. It eats fine. But right now my brother has it and he only has a heat light on it. I know it needs the bottom heat mat. Just confused which one to use as in wattage and size. Oh and it will stay in the ten gallon tank that it is in now. Thanks!
I agree with EL-Ziggy on the ultratherm. Much safer and the pulsating waves of heat are more reptile friendly. I used them when I was using tanks but they still require a thermostat. A thermostat to be safer and to guard against fires.
