LED's

Can anyone show me some examples of LED lighting for enclosures? I'm wondering if they come in many different sizes.
Thanks

Re: LED's

They're are tons of different types. When I was shopping around for some I found some really nice strips at my local fish store but an 18"strip was $70-80. I found these at home depot in a pack of 5 for $80. They come with a remote and do different colors which is a novelty I dont use as all my lighting is on timers but still a neat feature.

Re: LED's

I got these off eBay easy to fit and 100% water proof because they are built for aquariums

Re: LED's

Good question jjhill001.
I'd like to incorporate live plants so, are there LED's that promote plant growth? Idealy, plants that require little water.

Re: LED's

If you want ones that will be good for plants you will be better off with lights for fish and aquatic plants. Mine work well to light the enclosure but doubt they would be any good for plants.

Aquarium Lighting | Aquarium Moonlights | LED Aquarium Lighting | LED Fish Tank Lighting | Aquarium Lighting

Jacktar, try the link above. You may have to copy and paste to your address bar.
Before I moved last year, I had a 75 gallon fresh water aquarium and I had a 4' fluorescent fixture that had 4 led moon lights on an independent switch. I can't seem to find it right now and they come in different lengths, but the link might give you some ideas.

Re: LED's

I was at one of the local pet stores in Fresno, California and I noticed some very nice aquarium light fixtures. Some with white and blue and some with a variety of color combinations most with remote controls.
Yes, they're a couple bucks more than the average enclosure light, but the LED's now are very nice. Also, it appears you can program these for day and night time lighting.
There are even ones you can program to the region of the world you're herps or fish are from so they're on the same schedule right down to cloudy vs sunny days and more.
Wow!

You can certainly use Led's for plants, Ive had amazing success with led's! I used to grow a lot of hydroponic cannabis plants with just using Led's panel lights. Probably an overkill for a reptile tank though lol
