That's only a part of equation. A lot of work was done by Pro-Exotics here in Denver and we're between 5000 and 6000 feet up (I'm not sure where their shop was) and I believe that Bushmaster is working with them too and he's about as high up (he's somewhere out here in the metro area too). From my discussions with a few people working with them they basically have no idea what all is involved, seasonal weather changes, UV exposure, elevation, oxygen levels, hell it could be black magic as far as they know right now.

very cool and interesting stuff, thanks for the info mate...
i always hoped someone outside Indonesia living at high altitude would give it a go,to find out if it was an elevation thing
it would be bad for all of us who don't live up mountains though
i see some folk have managed to cross male Boelens with Carpet Pythons, can't remember the name they gave the hatchlings
ive heard folk having lock ups that don't amount to anything
please keep me updated if you hear anymore Boelens news mate
cheers shaun

Re: Boelens pythons~
Check out marc spataro and some of his recommendations. Fredrick in Sweden has got 2 years in a row with clutches and neos. I've been researching for years and may finally take the jump. I found some Cb from indo which means that they found a wild gravid female and let her lay at their farm most likely. Any true cb critters are 10k plus probably and in extreme demand.
Tracking the animals core temp and allowing for the natural temperature drop they get in their native habitat seems vital to doer production in males but also follicle growth in females.

contact Darren Biggs the shop owner at.....
Crystal Palace Reptiles
if anyone can get them to you in Canada it will be him Aaron,he owns a breeding facility in Indonesia
i hope you can sort something out mate
cheers shaun
P.S. it was Darren who sent me my lone female Diamond back in 2008 (i bought her from his friend),he only charged £45 to courier it from London to Scotland (which is cheap),he's a good guy to deal with,he even offered to pick up my male Diamonds at a reptile show in Germany (for free),then send them up from London, when he got back home

Re: Boelens pythons~
Aaron knows where to get them, he was being sarcastic. I think Danny G has an import coming in a few months via Dom in Montreal. I think Aaron doesnt like mites and nasty subcutaneous stuff in his collection, that is why the face. Hahha.
Darren sends his stuff to Don all the time here in BC. They do a few imports each year I believe.

I think he mentioned something about them not being legal in his area.
