A couple shots of my Electric blue day geckos (Lygodactylus Williamsi)

Hello all! My male's color was looking really good today so I tried to get a couple shots of him. For some reason he likes to show off when ever I am in the room and usually puts on a display/show for his females. He puffs out his throat and starts dancing and doing push ups. Also he has a tail twitch trick and licks the females face. Lol, his moves seem to be working given the lockups I have seen and the eggs that are incubating. I will try to get a video someday. Hope yall like!

Thanks Minkness! My crappy pics do not do him justice!
Jim- Thanks man! You are looking at adult sized animals. They top out at around 2.5-3 inches.

If I ever get brave enough to do a living viv I would put these guys, or regular giant day geckos lol. Great for viewing but not handling sadly. =(

What do you feed them?

Re: A couple shots of my Electric blue day geckos (Lygodactylus Williamsi)

SnoppySnake- They are pretty small... Wait until you see the hatchlings! I think I paid around $150 for him. I bought a sub adult trio from a large breeder so I kinda got a discount.

Minkness- I am really falling in love with vivs! I just got a monster 36" x 18" x 36" exo terra this weekend at Repticon. I am debating putting my L.Williamsi in it OR getting a trio of Phelsuma Klemmeri(Neon Day geckos)! The thing is, when my snakes come out of brumation next month I might not have all this spare time to play with vivs and geckos! LOL! Their staple diet is 1/4" crickets dusted with Cal. They also get small mealworms, wingless fruitflies, and teramites as occational snacks. Once a week they get organic mango babyfood mixed with DayGecko MRP.

Steve- Thank you sir!

Lol I know what you mean about time! Right now I am also battling space. I am thinking of how to cram a new enclosure into some nook or cranny so I can add another snake in march lol.

As for vivs however, the local reptile store near me has small bio-vivs all ready put together and growing that you can buy for about 120-200 (depending in size) and most come with 1 or 2 dart frogs all ready in it! I know I saw a nice one at the repticon I went to 2 years ago that was a good sized one for sale very cheap, but without any frogs. I have seriously thought about it lol

That last shot is great. She's just looking at you like "What are you doing here? Get out of my face."

Minkness- That is cool to hear about your local shop with pre made vivs!

millertime89- Lol that is exactly what I thought too!

Evanthomas- Thanks man! I will certainly throw up some pics if/when they hatch out. I have about 5 eggs cooking right now.

Here are a couple teaser pics of the 36" x 18" x 36" getting set up on my rack and a couple hatchling tanks that are being prepared.

Very nice! I love these guys! Maybe once you have some babies and I get a nice viv going, we could do a trade.

Thanks Charis! You know I love your P.Coxi and your L.pulcher! Found another egg this morning! Glued to the freaking glass of course! Got a shot of mom and the habitat after the morning misting!

Is that an egg? How big are they when they're born?
