Re: peed on me
Aww, I'm still not a real herper then. My babies are too nice to bite. The garter did try to mistake my finger for food once, but he bounced his nose off my fingernail so that doesn't really count.
...peed on though, sure.

Re: peed on me
I've been peed on... twice. However, there was more.. waaaay more than just pee! Luckily its my baby argentine boa Abbadon so it wasn't a whole lap full. Although it sure felt like it.
Thats the last time I'm taking her next door to show the neighbors....
The day I got my Argentines the male struck at my face twice but didnt reach so an attempt was made but no bites. Otherwise no other attempts and no bites.

Re: peed on me
My two baby carpets pee on my every time I touch them. So gross! And one of them fills me with pin holes too. Jerks.

Re: peed on me
I'd like to be the one to say, I'd rather be bit, then peed, pooped or musked on. Just sayin.

I'm pushing 12 months from my retics. Hell even my two carpets haven't offered lately. Although they've always been extremely mellow IJs. I've had to dodge the dwarf burm and the Aussie water python a few times though.

Re: peed on me
My brothers BP lets it all go pretty much every time he's out. Seems to target upholstery. I've been peed on once by one of my BPs, once by a corn who musked at the same time.
My pied sided bloodred male corn shot right out of his enclosure past my face thinking I was food. He landed on the floor a couple feet away, turned around and came after me. Crazy little monster is completely unpredictable when it gets close to feeding day.
I've only ever actually been bit by a baby BP. Hardly felt it when she missed the rat but she left me a few tiny spots of blood. I'm probably due for a bigger bite sooner rather than later.

Re: peed on me
Funny story. Was doing a presentation day at a museum where they had asked several local groups (including the herp society) to find volunteers to come and show and talk about their animals. My male SD retic was in the hands of a young girl (8ish) and proceeded to unload everything he had on her. She looked horror struck at first and then proceeded to laugh for good while when she realized what had happened. Her mom wasn't so pleased...

Haha, I bet in that brief moment you were a little nervous to.
When I was in grade school a very very smart teacher who would show animals every week from his personal collection. One day he brought in a 12ft green anaconda that he had to hold by the head as he walked around the class. It musked on him like there was no tomorrow and he had to walk around the school, full of kids smelling like he had never showered in his life! I felt bad but I know he felt worse lol.

Just a smidge, yeah. But the sign at the entrance very clearly warned that you might get pooped/peed on thankfully.

Re: peed on me
Never been peed on fortunately, or pooped on, but I did recently endure my first "chewing" by one of my Albino Hognose...Waited a few seconds to see if he would let go on his own, but when he continued to chew ( and looking quite content with that, lol) I just took some rubber tipped feeding tongs, and gently tapped the side of his mouth, and he released.....I swear, the release was more painful than the actual chewing....

There's somebody around here who would probably be interested in how that smelled.

Re: peed on me
I know. The only thing I do not like about ball pythons is that they don't eat for a while.

Re: peed on me
Getting peed on doesn't happen very often with Ball Pythons, thankfully.
My Cornsnake, on the other hand, is a pee and poop machine.
I would not handle him any more until he eats, that will just cause him to refuse food longer. What's your cool and warm side temperatures, humidity, and other setup info? What are you trying to feed him?

Well you got peed on your half way to being a
herper. Now you just have to get bit.

I've never been bit by my pet snakes. I expect that it's only a matter of time now that I own a corn that gets a little too excited at mealtime though...
I have been bit by wild ones, although I do have a good track record at avoiding bites for the most part. I dunno if garter and teeny baby milk snake bites count, 'cause those are the only ones I've experienced and they barely even hurt.
