First Corn Snake (2010 Blizzard)!!
So while I'm pretty sure I'm a python girl (particularly for morelia), I've been also looking into a beginner friendly snake that my younger sister could partially own and take care of with me. She's very wary around my JCP but wanted a snake as well, so I figured why not (we live together). Was going to go for a Ball Python but realized that a Corn Snake would probably be easier to keep if I expected her to take on most of the responsibilities. However, it had to be a patternless one, which is how we ended up with a gorgeous blizzard!
I swore up and down that I'd only have one snake at a time, but guess that's not going to happen!!
The box arrived right on time, around 10:20 AM
annnnd there he is! We may or may not have squealed. He's a 2010 blizzard corn snake!
Gorgeous color

Re: First Corn Snake (2010 Blizzard)!!
We were checking temps and everything in the enclosure, so I held onto him for a bit
Threw in an empty paper towel tube on a whim, and of course that's his hide of choice...
I'll admit though, it's ridiculously cute
We still have a few more things we'll be adding to the enclosure, especially as we see what he does and doesn't use. For now, we'll just leave him be for the next couple of weeks, and after he's had a feeding or two, I'll get more pictures!
I already love his temperament, and my sister does, too. When I move back out in a year, I have a feeling that I'll be fighting her for him.

Wow, he's a beauty! I'm not usually a big fan of anything albino-ish, but this one is a looker. And corn snakes are awesome pets.

Congrats on the new addition, you can never have just one snake at a time as it just never works out that way

Not really a huge fan of corn snakes, but he looks amazing! I love the way that pinkish white color goes with the yellow and his red eyes just make it that much better.

Re: First Corn Snake (2010 Blizzard)!!
Thanks so much, everyone! I'm so happy to have him and grateful to his previous owner for getting him to me, and for taking such great care of him. He's just a really lovely guy - sweet, inquisitive, and very pretty.

Thanks!! They really are - even without really having handled him much, I'm surprised at the difference between him and my JCP. Pleasantly surprised, of course!!

Thank you! And that's definitely the truth of it... already planning for my Ball Python, but after that, I swear I'm done!
(maybe)

To be honest, I'm not either when it comes to aesthetics. I just prefer other patterns over the checkering I often see on corns. Love, love, love the patternless ones, though. This guy's coloring is fantastic and I'm very happy with him.
And regardless of looks, many of their temperaments are just so sweet.
