UGH bad weekend....
So i was gone over the holidays (up to NY) and left my snakes to fend for themselves for the week. Thy were last fed on the 20th, and i cleaned their cages the day before i left... Fast foreword to last night, when we get home after 20 hours of driving... and it looks like we've been robbed!! TThe kitchen, the living room, and the bedroom all had stuff knocked over, lamps broken, etc. I checked on all the snakes, and sure enough my carpet was missing from her closed tub!! She must have edged in between the the lid and base (i had it on its side). There was also a giant poop in between her tub and the gecko cage :P
We stayed up until 3 30am taking apart all of the closets and pantries, taking apart the stove and the fridge, looking in all of the jackets, with no sign
I left a rat in a box in the kitchen, as i was pretty certain that is where she was hiding out... but nothing this am. I fed off the rat and switched for a mouse... still nothing. We looked through all the cabinets again....
I was pretty upset because she was a very expensive snake and i had no idea how long she had been out...
We were eating dinner and watching the last season of walking dead when my boyfriend says, 'oh hey, look over there'.... and sure enough she was poking her head out from beneath the air conditioner!!!!!!
i lured her out with a mouse, and made some adjustments to the tub :P
I'm so relieved!!! what a nightmare :P So glad she appeared ;_;

Re: UGH bad weekend....
So glad you found her! Not a good feeling when you lose a pet. I take it she caused the destruction to the house?

Re: UGH bad weekend....
yup. thank goodness it is winter and we haven't had to run the AC... and that its cold enough at night that she chose to come back inside!! She definitely had access to the patio outside :P
All credit to my boyfriend.... luckily he saw her before the cats/dog did!

Re: UGH bad weekend....
Lol I can't believe she did all that to your place! Sounds like she had quite the little adventure. She doesn't look big enough to cause so much trouble.
