Sources needed

Whats up guys. Not sure where to post this but who cares.

I was requested specifically by my EEB professor (this is my last college class and shes going to write me a recommendation so I am going to do as she says)
to do an oral report and be excused on the final essay.

She wants me to do it on the evolution of Corallus caninus and Morelia (Chondropython?) viridis and how they share so many morphological traits but evolved independently of one another in different areas of the globe.

Does anyone have any scientific journals or articles they've read. Doesn't have to be on the specific topic but maybe the evolution of each species separately and I'll make the connection. I can just type it in google I'm aware, but if anyone has a great source and can save me the trouble, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Re: Sources needed

I don't know if this is of much help but a few days ago I just read something related to that topic in the book "The Green Tree Python and Emerald Tree Boa" by Ron Kivit and Stephen Wiseman.

This is meant to be a very good book but not sure if it will have the detail you require or not and it's not cheap so might be worth a visit to a library to see if they have a copy

http://bio-nica.info/Biblioteca/Noon...nakesBoids.pdf

reading this at the moment, seems to have what I'm looking for with regards to differences. Convergent evolution I'm just going to talk about scalation, reproduction, ontogenic changes etc. so its easy.

I doubt I will find That book in any libraries around here lol

Those are both great books, but they ain't cheap and you won't find them at a Barnes and Noble or Books a Million store. Great topic too, I've always thought it fascinating how they evolved so similarly...
