He's just so fast and I can feel the force behind it.

Me too! For me it is one of my male ball pythons. I have a bunch of different snakes, including a carpet python, and by far, my ball python packs the hardest punch. He is a missile. During hurricane sandy I lost power for a long time. I tried warming up rocks and putting them in the enclosure, and he was trying to kill the rocks.

Yeah for me he is the fastest when it comes to time between the strike and constriction

Yea, they're pretty intense indeed. Probably depends on the individual snake as well but mix a good feeding response with the sheer muscular power of one of these guys and it gets kinda crazy. I sure do make an effort to ensure the proper temp of her food; definitely don't want my hand mistaken for a rat.

You hand feed them? Crazy. I use tongs even for my baby snakes.

Re: Which one of your snakes packs the strongest punch?
To be honest, neither one of my snakes grab their food from tong with any sort of enthusiasm. I have gotten my boa to strike once, most of the time he'd rather just wait for me to drop it, and let him do his own thing. My milk snake has 0 interest in the tongs and will move away from the prey rather than go for it if I try. It kinda bums me out. When I had my MBK he was a monster.

Interesting. Most my snakes strike and constrict from the tong all the time. The only exception being my carpet python who would rather me leave the mouse inside. I just come back a few minutes later and it's gone.
