Also pictures pls, I'de like to see how nice they get as ther grow.
And what is a good price for sub-adults male/female.

Thanks, Paolo.

Also info and pictures on Mexican Blonde (Aphonopelma Chalcodes), cuz I was told that they're easy to maintain and they don't flick any hairs at you.

Thanks in advance. Paolo.

Paolo, I have both species. As far as price I don't know because the prices are different in canada. And the Mexican Blonde you can catch in the dessert around here. I don't have any picture either I will try to get some this weekend and reply later. As far as care they are about the same Temp 80-85 humity around 50-60%. I keep them both on bed a beast with a couple of fake plants. For feeding I use crickets and once a month I feed a fuzzy mouse. Both of the species are fairly tame and can be handled easily. I have never been bite by the mexican blonde but the smithi bite me one day and it was just so pain but no swelling or anything else. Hope this Helps.

Okay, you asked for it!!!! I'll take any excuse to post pics of my Charlotte !!!

She is now a full grown girl measuring 5 to 5 1/2" legspan. Approx. 3 1/2 years old. I got her as a sub-adult.

Here she is enjoying a nice meal of a fuzzy mouse!

Here she is at the end of the same meal about 24 hours later.

Here she is in her home.

I paid 150$ for a sub-adult female. I absolutely wanted to be garanteed a female as with this species they can live up to 25 even 30 years. I don't know about Toronto suppliers but I've heart Port Credit Pets is a good place to go.

Paolo, you've narrowed it down let me know what you're getting. PCPC is the only place I've seen with Tarantulas.
Very nice set-up Marisa and that's a beautifull Tarantula.

PIXIE> WOW, damn...very nice T Pixie, can't wait to see more pics of Charlotte. When you feed her a fuzzy, do you feed it alive/half dead? That second last picture was unbelievable. I'de love to see pics of (Kitana) Cobalt Blue tarantula, especially feeding pics!

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Paolo.

Thank you so much for the compliments I love taking pictures of my tarantulas, they are so photogenic!!! I will be taking more pics soon. I'll try taking pics of the cobalt eating but that may be harder that with my Charlotte as Kitana stays in her burrow long periods at a time and only feeds at night, but I will try!!!

Paolo: I feed always live pinkies and fuzzies. Tarantulas need a prey item that is moving to get their interest. They do quite a job out of those meals! Especially bigger fuzzies!
