Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
All books have been packed into rubbermaid containers and are in the garage. Shelves nearly empty.
Part of me expects to find him sitting in my Amazon Parrots cage one morning with the both of them giving eachother the "what the hell are you"...look. She is the size of a foot ball so I think she is off the menu for now.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
Mine was an adult when she went AWOL, but she didn't eat from October to May starting when she was 18 months old. I am sure your snake can survive. Also it depends on your heat, but The air coming through my vents on our electric heat pump is not to hot for a snake.

Oh that poor snake if he gets in with the zon! They all have attitudes and a half. One of my favorites but then again it's the birds with attitude I like the best.
Hopefully he'll show up soon.

Yep I thought the same thing, I have an amazon and I pity anything that gets in that cage with her uninvited.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
Have you looked up inside appliances. For instance tip washing machine over and check inside the bottom? Any appliance where the underside might be open? Or as someone suggested earlier, inside the settee? If the lining has a hole anywhere it could get inside.
Good luck.

Yeah, up under fridge, when I pull the drawer out of the stove I can see right to the back wall (pull it out anyway), I had my wife crawl under the washer and dryer while I hold at a 45.
So far I can not find eve dance that he is here. I am leaving (safe) live rat traps & lures every night.... Nada!!

Yeah they can be a hand full. Not mine.
See the attached picture. This is as nasty as My girl gets. She has a giant sense of entitlement when it comes to whatever I might be eating, doing, using or playing with. Fozzie the bird...so not a bad @ss. She tries to make friends with everything from ducks to cats and wild rabbits. Plus a giant suck.

Unfortunatly, no.
Have had zero indication to show he is roaming around at all.
I stayed awake so much last week I could hardly think on the weekend. (sitting in the dark playing on the iPad...listening...waiting)
The motion sensors (alarm) did go off once, but it was a the power not the crinkled tin foil.
I had to dispatch "Rat-A-Polluza" that was spending thier days in the D/S bathroom becasue....the bigger ones stink. I dont think I ever want to do that again!
He has been gone about 1 & 1/2 weeks now. I think we have used the heat only twice, and will not need it anymore this year. (Of course we will not be using Air-Con at all) so if he is in fact taking a tour of the vents he has a good chance.
I have attached two pictures of the indavudual currrently on his own personal Walkabout...Slither-about? "Faro"
Thanks for asking. (You cant be a Total-Dbag?)

Its only been a week and a half, still pretty early. Maybe since its about time for a meal, and will be warming up, you will see him soon.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
Dunno if it's been suggested, but in the evening try sprinkling flour on the floor (if it's not carpeted...) in front of things such as the fridge, desks, entertainment unit, oven, etc. and check in the morning to see if it's been disturbed.
you should put a heat source under your live traps, may have a higher chance of attracting him.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
r.e. the flour trick:
one of my small colubrids got out almost 3 weeks ago (still awol), and i tried to flour trick. To see what a disturbance would look like, i took another of my snakes out and let her slither over it. This might be different with a heavy bodied BP, but my king only flattened the flour out, i couldnt see any 'tracks' or footprints. I ended up pulling the flour into tiny ridges across all the doorways etc. No sign of him moving around yet though :/
Best of luck!

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
He'll show up eventually.
I didn't read the entire thread but most lost snakes are always found nearby their escape so double check the original area.

Re: Lost Snake Nighmare.....
The one time my ball got out she curled up in the window sill next to her tank and was sunning herself. Fortunately she didn't go far and was only out for a couple hours tops. Good luck hope she turns up soon.
