Nightmare Strikes Back Again
Since I have rescued "Mikey" our WLP, I had a never ending battle with mites, and I guess only thought I had won the battle. I treated him for a month using newspaper as bedding, which I can say was a battle just trying to keep the humidity where I needed it. Yesterday I saw one crawling on him, and where there is one I know there are more. So I have emptied his enclosure again, began cleaning all furnishing in a bleach mix solution, and treated him with Mite Off. I just hope that I might have just missed one egg :\ and nipped it in the but early to be a quick and easy battle this time.
Any advice or tips and tricks y'all have learned from past experience would be greatly appreciated.

Nix or Prevent a Mite. These are the only 2 things that work. Google both or search this forum. Many many threads on how to use either. Pick oneand use it = mites gone . What you have done so far is never going to work.

The Zoo Med mite off literally does nothing, as Terranaut said you need nix or prevent a mite.

I have located the PAM online for 20.00, but have yet to find the nix, any links to it from the lowest priced provider would be greatly appreciated

Reptile Relief on the snake, PAM in the enclosure/substrate/hides (never the snake!), use as directed. BTDT.
Unfortunately some of ours only eat live, I think we're bringing the little bloodsuckers home on the rodents or our clothes when we go to the pet shop. We're going to work on getting everything transitioned to f/t.

@BCR - I have actually concluded that is what's problem is. Mikey is the only snake in my collection that I am having to feed to live from the pet store. I currently have some hoppers that I waiting to be large enough to Begon feeding, and another liter behind them. I am hoping going from store bought feeders to self raised feeders will help with te issue

The problem is most likely that you didn't get rid of them in the first place. Take the advice from earlier in the thread and use some pam or nix.

Surely if a mite can hitch a ride on your clothes it could also hitch a ride on rat or mouse?
Were do they actually come from they are not born with them just like dogs are not born with fleas.

Yes, but its a long shot at best, I wouldn't dismiss the possibility, but I'd definitely have money on a more likely cause.

I would also take it further and say I guarantee you didn't get them all. I go to my local pet store often and I just won't touch the snakes anymore. I have stopped getting random mite infestations. My kids do hold the rodents though.
