Unsure of what this is

Caught this guy off a busy hiking trail. Not sure what it is. Sorry about quality, I took the video with an iPhone 5 in my poorly lit garage.

Definitely a garter of some sort. Not sure of the species though.

at first I thought it was a racer but the diamond marking on its head leads me to think otherwise. It hasnt musked me though.... haha

Wayne (infernalis) would be able to say which type/species, but that looks like a garter for sure.

Definitely a garter snake. I catch these a lot. They stink when you hold them :-/

I have caught Garters before and they stunk. This one hasn't musked, and does not stink at all. Thats why I thought it might be a racer.

It has the lines and checkers like a garter. So I'm pretty sure it's a garter.
