Togo Savannah monitors?

Someone on kingsnake has savannahs for sale labeled as togo locale, is there really a different in pattern? I'm not experienced enough in pattern on them to see any different. He is referring to the striped back in the post on 3 specific ones, is it that significant?

Togo is just a "burb" of Ghana. No big difference.

Well thats what I was thinking, a few people have been known to do that (700 'pastel' savannah that looked pretty normal on there not too long ago) ...but hes selling them for like 30 or 35 $...so I don't think that was the reason. Maybe he was just bored?

Problem is, he probably got them in by the dozens, and he only advertised 3 of them in with unique patterns. Saying 2 were striped and only 1 out of the whole group, hand picked, was banded spots....for 35 dollars.

Just doesn't make sense to me to advertise only 3 of them like that, and for a cheap price. I think he is sincere haha

Fair enough then if he isnt jacking up the prices because of it. Could be he is just trying to be as specific as possible I suppose, though it isnt the reason for the stripping or bands.

$35-40 is more than a lot of them go for, I've seen them for $20 or less most of the time. That being said, I'm pretty sure he's just trying to make them sound unusual so they sell quicker.

I agree, it is a total marketing ploy. It is almost impossible to know where these animals actually originated though. They could have been collected or farmed anywhere and just exported from Togo. At least the seller did not try to jack the price up to some rediculous number.
