My baby girl

Any idea about age ? Also eht can I expect 6 months from now? A year? 2 ? Thanks everyone would like to see large adults too

Re: How old is my BCC and shedding.
It also depends on how she was fed before you got her. I have two rescue BPs that were supposedly 6 mos and 1 year old when given to me; each weighed only about 95 grams, not a lot more than the size of a hatchling, when I got them.
Hopefully your girl came from a reputable source. However, the pet stores often do not feed adequately for weeks, slowing growth rates significantly.

Re: How old is my BCC and shedding.
Yes lllreptile.com. There great I have purchased many animals through then in the past. So a year old? Wouldn't she be more like 6 to 8 months. Because there like 18 to 20 inch hatchlings so since she's eating plump rat pups now and she's actually just in her first blue phase shed with me right now so she's shedding like every almost 2 months. I wanna know an exact age kind of. They did know of cours but if she's a year old that's and she was
Born in march of last year. Is that usually when females have their young? Thanks any input would be great guys and I would love to see some bcc grow pics

This is impossible to know unless the seller/breeder could tell you. Not every boa in a litter starts off at exactly the same size and not every boa grows at the same rate.

The only way you can know for sure is to cut him in half and count the rings.

Re: How old is my BCC and shedding.
I have a female BCI and a male BCC with less than a month separating them. Females will usually be larger than males, and BCC's tend to be bigger than BCI's but they grow much slower. Remember these critters can live 30+ years. I would guess between 6 & 10 months, but it is just a guess. I would also be feeding adult mice right now. Rat Pups tend to very fatty, I would also be feeding weekly ( every 7 days) for the first year and a half or so, then you can bump feedings to 10 to 14 days. After they are 3 to 4 years old they really slow down on growth, they never stop growing though, but when they are taking jumbo rats to 3-5lb rabbits intervals can be extended out to every 3 to 4 weeks. The two I have now are about a year and a half old now, the BCI is 5 ft and she has nice girth to her, probably 3 inches wide, the BCC is about 4 foot and 2 inches wide. They still shed every 5 to 6 weeks and feeding is every 10 to 14 days. The BCI is taking XL rats and the BCC is taking med rats, soon to move up to Large at the same 10 to 14 day interval. Hope this helps you out some.

But only cut off the back 49%! As long as they have the front 51% they can grow the other half back! XD

Re: How old is my BCC and shedding.
lol omg... i would think after 3 months he/she should have shed though... maybe you should be feeding bigger prey? a rat pup seems a little small for 10 days, i feed my BCI a medium/small rat once a week or so..

We aren't talking about bci. This is a bcc and the have a much slower metabolism. As a matter of fact feeding a bcc like a bci can kill it.
