Help!! Dire situation.

Ok so my corn is trying to eat a mediemum size rat even though he only eats small. He's a about 2.5 feet. He has been at it for about 1 hr. should I take the rat out? Is there possible health effects that could hurt the snake if he finishes it or continues to try. Please help!!

Re: Help!! Dire situation.

If the rat is more than 1.5 times his diameter at the thickest part of his body, it may be too large and yes, he can injure himself with too large a meal. Can you snap a pic and post it so we can get a better idea of size?

I would leave it as he should know what's too big for him.

Medium RAT for a corn? My 6ft brb and my bci are on mediums... Must be a bloody big corn or a small medium.

Re: Help!! Dire situation.

My adult corn eats rats that are approx 125g and called "mediums". My three year old corns are still eating mice at approx 30g - these are twice their girth approximately.

A 2.5 ft corn is approx 1-1.5 yrs old?? No way could it eat a medium rat????

Pictures would solve a lot of speculation
