Hello from Toronto
Just a quick hello. I have two adorable snakes; a corn snake, Charlie, and Calissi, a brazilian rainbow boa -- both young ones. Love this site!

Re: Hello from Toronto
Welcome! I'm sure someone else will ask, so I'll jump in on this first: any pics? We do love pics.

Re: Hello from Toronto
My pleasure ...Charlie, the corn snake showed up in our back yard one day and I took this pic before I picked him up.
Calissi, the rainbow boa is just a darling and much more docile than Charlie. I'm the only one that handles her for now as I'm trying to get to know her.
Question for the forum ... Do boa's bond with their handlers?

There is no evidence that they do.

Re: Hello from Toronto
Snakes do not "bond" with their keepers but can recognize your scent as harmless and thus not attack you as if you were a predator. They can use you as a heat source and appear to " hug" you or enjoy you but the reality is their brains are not capable of such reactions. Sorry but its true. We have had a member or 2 lately swear on here that their snake loves them. This unfortunately can never be true.
