Which end do I put the humid hide on?

I've been having humidity issues with all of my tanks so I made humid hides for them all. None of my snakes have used them though. Could it be that they're on the cool side of the enclosures? My large retic's hide is long so part if it is sitting on the hot spot. I just want them to start using them so I don't have to worry about eye caps and other shedding problems

Just think about it for a few seconds, maybe that common sense part of your brain will kick in............................cold plus wet = respiratory infection.

The cold side isn't really that cold. it's like in the high 70's-low 80's. I've tried putting it in on both sides and they just don't like either. They went in the day I put it in on the cooler end, but came right back out so I left it there for a few days and they never went back in so I put it on the warmer side and it's been there since, but they just hang out on the outside of it, never inside.

Just put a bigger water bowl in or a smaller one on the warm side. This will raise the humidity for the whole cage and you shouldn't need humid hides. You could also just mist once a day.

I do mist once a day and there is a huge water bowl in there, but the problem is that the cage has a screen top. I covered like 3/4 of the top with some acrylic, but the ball pythons still have problems shedding. Their sheds ALWAYS come off in pieces and I have to soak them to get the rest off cuz it's really stuck to them. I have to worry about eye caps every time they shed cuz one doesn't come off.

Take them out of the fish tanks and house them in tubs...

That's what I want to do. I'm just not sure where I would put them yet.
