What kind of monitor is this?

The speaker was saying they are "rare," and that no zoo has one.
Sorry about the quality of the pics, these were taken with my phone at a distance.

***The photo doesn't show it too well, but the monitor was JET BLACK. No spots, nothing. And dark as night. Super black.

They sell in the trade as 'black dragons'. They're a black water monitor, Varanus salvator.

Re: What kind of monitor is this?

he has a couple of monitors and I don't think they are in very good health. They all seem beat up in person and he leaves them in wire cages or a dog carrier all day during the 2 day shows. I think his tegu is the most impressive.

Re: What kind of monitor is this?

I saw a couple baby ones on kingsnake a while back. I wanted one so badly but the price was rediculous! Plus I can't afford to feed a large monitor every other day. Once a week/2 week feedings are cool for me right now. I wish I had the money though cuz then i'd still have my croc monitor
