Feeding Schedule question
I had thought that feeding Oscar a medium rat once a month would be plenty, but I've seen a few posts here over the past couple of weeks stating that feeding can be as often as every 10-14 days. I don't want to overfeed, but I don't want to under feed either. What's a good way to determine the best feeding cycle?
Also, just as an aside, I didn't really have a grasp on how strong this snake could really be, until tonight. He decided that he wanted up on my bookshelf, and quite casually shifted an 18 pound jar of change out of his way! O_O

Re: Feeding Schedule question
How old is Oscar?
A photo can helps us tell you if he's at a healthy weight.

Re: Feeding Schedule question
I feed my Royal in a 14 then 21 day schedule, each time is a rat slightly larger than his girth

Re: Feeding Schedule question
Oscar is being non cooperative right now for a picture, I'll get one as soon as I can.
He's approximately 3ft 10inches long, and weighs between 2 and 2.5 pounds (too wiggly to get a good weight right now). His thickest point is 7 inches in circumference.
I have no idea how old he is, the guy I got him from got him from someone else, who got him from someone else, who got him from someone else...
ETA: Here is a picture from the day I brought him home. He hasn't changed noticeably in size that I've been able to see.
This picture was taken about a week ago:
