Produced by bob clark a 2011 male reticulated python around 3.5 feet, eats f/t sm rats weekly,will make a great breeder, must have experience with large snakes as this will be a 15+ foot animal, open to trades for boa ,python, morphs"

....my guy, who is a late 2011 is almost 6ft, and eating LARGE rats.

Yes it is, though not terribly so. I would think it would be closer to 6 now but it could be a slow grower or could have been fed smaller meals. You have to remember we're used to seeing snakes that, for better or worse, are given large prey items with increasing frequency to get them to size more quickly.

He may also be a late 2011, but still pretty small. He may have been a problem feeder at the beginning too..

good to know. I just saw that and was like 'whaaa?' I'm not feeding for super fast growth, but then again, he may just be a quick grower.

Even if he was hatched in Dec 2011, he'd be a 2011, so without knowing his actual hatch date we can't really say. He's a he after all, they can be more finicky about eating than females anyways if he went into breeding mode early (possible, Stephan Bakir's did last year at only 4 ft).
