how often to switch bedding

So when I use mulch i generally spot sweep as needed clean do a full cleaning every few weeks. With paper towels I do the same but they seem like it may last longer. How often do you all that use paper towels completley clean everything?

im no rookie i promise...just new to newspaper lol

Re: how often to switch bedding

I use newspaper on all my snakes at the moment and I just change the paper when I see its dirty. Now when you say completely clean everything, do you mean just the paper or are you talking about a full on enclosure cleaning?

Re: how often to switch bedding

i replace soiled newspaper as required (spot clean)

once every 6 to 8 month,i give the tank a full clean, with anti bacterial and anti viral solutions

i believe keeping a tank too STERILE,can be bad for the snake.....

if the snakes IMMUNE SYSTEM has nothing to fight, then it may become less effective, should your snake need it

the above,is just my personal thoughts on,method and cleaning of snake tanks

cheers shaun

I change my repti bark and do a full enclosure cleaning once a month. Other than that I spot clean.

Re: how often to switch bedding

I spot clean reptibark as necessary ensuring to remove a good amount of substrate around the "mess" and hten chuck another handfull of substrate in to fill the whole. I dont sterilise the vivs at all after the initial set up.

If any of the branches/hides get messed on then they get removed individually and cleansed.
