Re: Yellow Amel Holbrooki

That's a great project, John. I don't even know if banana Cal kings can get that yellow.

That is pretty fantastic... love all that yellow! How much longer do you guess until she reaches that rich yellow coloring of her mother?

I really don't know....
I got her when she was 5 and only her neck and head were white. Over the last three years she's yellowed up more.... She is now 8.

The offspring will be 2 in September........I would guess they'll be a nice yellow in a couple years but will continually yellow up for years to come......

And I don't know if the offspring will yellow up at the same rate as the mother or at different rates.....I have 7 amels and a buddy of mine here in town has 2 amels and the lone het sibling.....10 offspring....9 amels and 1 het.....
From a wc male pairing with the yellow gal......

Plus....check out the beaded or raised scales......one interesting morph / mutation......

That's amazing. I would love to see older photos if you have them. I find these sorts of gradual transformations fascinating

Re: Yellow Amel Holbrooki

Thanks....
There are many amel kings...

California kings
Desert kings
Speckled kings
Ruthven's kings
Arizona Mt. kings
Prairie kings
Eastern kings
Floridia kings

Then there are many hybrid kingsnake amels.......
