Names of your creatures
This isn't so much a thread as to what and why? What did you name your reptiles (or other pets) and why? As always throw down pics
My normal BP I named Doom. We were gonna call the cat that but she ended up being a girl. My second BP a pastel I named Twinkie because of his yellow, and my cornsnake Sunshine because when I first got her she always made me laugh an happy
How about you guys and gals?

Re: Names of your creatures
It varies. A few of our animals were already named when we adopted them. One of the adoptees was named Sidney which is the name of a Pittsburgh Penguin so that caused a couple more to be named after Pittsburgh sports heroes of mine. My wife is a huge NCIS fan so most of our Royals are named after characters from the shows.
We're still trying to come up with a name for our baby retic.

Re: Names of your creatures
Ok I am game..
Here is Blitz My Biak GTP- named him due to his crazy split personality
Here is Ivan my buckskin corn-named him this due to him being a dork
Here is Loki my RTB- Clueless as to where hubby got the name
Here is Rex my pinstripe Royal- no reason for name
Here is Spot my Royal- no reason for name
Here is Tank my BTS- named due to big body little legs.. tank on toothpicks.
Here is Remy my Nanday Conure- named after Remington shotguns.
Then my dogs I don't have pics of right now- I have a black lab named Diesel and a Brittney Named Maddy. Maddy was a rescue and we kept her name. Diesel was named before I met my husband and I he named him diesel due to his love for diesel trucks.

Re: Names of your creatures
Mine tend to be pretty goofy.
Mouse - because when I look at her head pattern, I see a cartoon mouse with a skinny little body, flexing it's arm muscles. My wife thinks it's the dumbest snake name in the history of dumb snake names, but it cracks me up.
Spinegrinder the Hellbeast - because he's the meanest ATB I've ever seen, and I've seen some mean ATBs.
Smuckers - because he looks like he just crawled out of a jar of strawberry/apricot preserves.
Mudhoney - because if she were a band, she'd be a 1990's Seattle grunge band.
Spades - because she was the darkest Gray Banded Kingsnake I've ever seen.
Odie - because of her olive drab color.
Halfsquat - my son named this one after a character in Tropic Thunder

Re: Names of your creatures
Mose, I love your critters' names. I think Mouse's head pattern looks like antlers. I'd have called him Jagermeister.
And your snakes are all beautiful. I'm a big fan of Odie and Halfsquat particularly.

Re: Names of your creatures
Sage my smallest corn who's jointly named. After the herb which smells really good and my favorite snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg.
Riddle my ultramel motley corn because he has a question mark shape on his body.
Finch Riddle's mate, full name Ringlefinch who was named by my very weird 5 year old cousin
Drake, my beardie because drakes are dragons and blah blah blah.
Mayhem my JCP, who actually doesn't cause too much mayhem anymore. But was named for his crazy personality which he's quickly growing out of. (I think it would be funny to have a dog tame snake named Mayhem )
I'll do pics later. Getting ready to go out right now.

Kaybe- because where I live the town is abbreviated K.B. "Kay-Be"
Pika- because he's yellow like the pokemon Pikachu. It was a joke at first but then it stuck.

Re: Names of your creatures
Several of my snakes are named after Harry Potter characters. My first snake, a western hognose, was named Dudley when I got him. I ended up trading him for my RTB, which I named Minerva. My girlfriend's ball python was named Severus, so I felt it was appropriate to keep the tradition going. Thus, I named my BRB Lucius.
My current western hognoses were named Bonnie and Clyde, and those were just too good to change.
I'm currently thinking about what kind of theme I want to use for my future leopard geckos.

Re: Names of your creatures
I named all my corns after dieties: Khuno, Ananta, Helios, Pirwa, Kamrusepa and Yuki-Onna.
My B/P is named after the huge birdlike-dragon creature from Avatar, Torruk.
My dogs are all named "my friend" in different languages: Poitash and Venninne.
My cat was found in the bushes as a kitten and brought home, my son named her Peaches

Re: Names of your creatures
My BP is named "Trouser"- I hope no explanation is necessary
My Colombian Boa is named "Eve"- Thought it was a cool name
And I've already selected a name for my future carpet "muncher"
I can tell the names are good based on how much my wife hates them lol

Re: Names of your creatures
Yeah, Eve is the only normal-named pet I've ever had.
Even my cat Jackson has a joke behind his name. I resued him when he was way too little (he could stand on all fours in the palm of your hand) so we took him to the vet and they told us it was a girl. Well, once he matured enough, we learned otherwise. So I named him Jackson after Michael Jackson because he's a black and white cat and his gender was ambiguous. lol
