Cookies are awarded once a body *starts* calling them Royals, and then again at 50 point intervals. You don't think I just give 'm away for nothin' do ya?

Re: I' m a newby
Does it have a water basin large enough to curl-up in? If it does, I'm sure it'd use it when it knows it needs it, and this sounds like one of those times. It would likely soak in there with it's head under water to help loosen-up those nostrils and then use some nice solid objects in it's enclosure to push against to further loosen the dried mucus and be able to blow it out.

Re: I' m a newby
best way to unblock a nostril is to bath the snake, holding it's head under water
i would hold under water for 20,30,40 seconds at a time
onmce i saw little trickles of air bubbles coming from the blocked nostril,i'd hold a little longer under water
i would repeat this proccess 2 to 3 times per day until the nostril was clear
if that don't work then.....
your vet can reverse flush the nostril, using a catheter
it may be a piece of old shed but.....
with the gaping mouth, imo its more likely mucas, from a respiritory infection mate
imo,a trip to the vet is needed
cheers shaun
