You should realize that anything left dead in 25-30°c for a period of 12-16 hours would decompose rather quickly. I haven't seen too much human death and carnage but I know when a raccoon is hit and left on the side of the road in 90°f they tend to start bloating within a couple of hours. Also it seems to my limited experience that thing that eat a lot of grains and vegetation tend to bloat faster.

Are you really fighting over how long it takes for a small mouse to decompose? First of all a human dead body would take longer to rot than a mouse. Second of all it was warmer in the shed so that means something so tiny would rot quickly. Just because someone's experience with death is different from yours does not mean they are wrong or lying. Kevin does check the rodent twice a day. I know this to be true because I'm usually waiting on him while he does it! Please do not insinuate that my husband neglects to check the mice because that is not true.

Lol. Hot temps! I thought about that. Just wasnt sure rodents would even survive at high temps let alone breed. Seriously im not trying to insinuate anything about anyone. If anyones an idiot its me. I was really just pretending to be a medical detective like on the tv.

My rodents are kept at about 20-25°c inside of a deep freezer. The temps stay very solid.

I had another of those females die today. Really odd but she Was in that segregation tank also. Makes me sad as she was that was born and raised in the colony. She was great looking too.
