Goodbye, Ruby
My dog, Ruby has resently been pooping and peeing on the floor randomly even though we take her for walks all the time and let her outside all the time! She is 5 and she was poddy trained ever since she was a puppy but then about 6-7 months ago she started pooping and peeing. Ever since she started my dad has been wanting to send her to the pound and today he finally convinced my mom! They took her today to the pound, I knew it was happening but I had no say in it at all. She will be missed. I love you, Ruby and you will always be my first dog!

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
Wow, I am so sorry, my friend. Losing a pet, especially a dog is really, really tough. Hopefully the vets at the pound will figure out why that's was happening. Maybe it's something simple they can fix and she'll be adopted by another cool family! She seems young, so I have a feeling she'll find a happy home.
Chin up G.P.. Maybe handling a snake will help take your mind off. Sometimes works for me.

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
Vacation? Cool! Focus your thoughts on that and all the fun stuff you'll get to do! Of there's one thing I know about dogs, it's how much they like when YOU have fun. I think Ruby would definitely want you to have a really fun vacation!

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
If my parents ever did anything like that (they wouldn't) they would never hear the end of it from me.

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
I'm so sorry to hear, GP. It's awful to have to lose a pet, for any reason. You have my condolences.

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
um ever thought that it could be because of worms and a weak bladder, which if thats the case, its redeemable and quite stoppable (i aint having a go at you garterpython but rather at ur parents), i hate it when people thinks that getting rid of an animal is the answer to all there problems.
so when they get older and develop the same problems, should they be put in the human pound (lol)
if ruby has only just started doing these "accidents" then clearly something is wrong or as changed and that will be the primary cause.
just a side note, dogs usually develop these problems as a result of either insecurity or fear. (just a note for future members to look at).
again no offence to the original poster

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
Sorry to hear it. I had two huskies that I had to get rid of when I was your age. It truly sucks my friend.

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
I am so sorry!! I know how helpless it feels as a kid having no say in these things. My 4 yr old dog was put down when I was 16 because my gramma had it in her will that both dogs be euthanzied upon her death.
Chin up, at least Ruby is still alive!! Focus on the reptiles to keep your mind busy and remember th good times you and she had together.

Re: Goodbye, Ruby
omg that's awful that they got rid of her just because she was losing bladder/bowel control! I'm so sorry... I'd be heartbroken, so I can only imagine how you feel. Hang in there & enjoy your vacation! -hugs-
