The only real solution would be to take out the hinge and all non stainless steel metal and replace it with stainless steal.

I had to replace the hinges on one of mine and have another that needs to be replaces. The problem i been having is finding a replacement lock.

I would email the company that makes them and look into replacement hinges and locks through them.Specify that you only want stainless steel to avoid this issue again. I would request they replace them for free due to poor design.

I agree with Kat , i was looking to order some myself , i think i will call and see if they would just put stainless on mine .
