Fat snake
One of our other rescues, "Bitey" decided he wanted the rat that Ribs didn't want. Kept following it around outside the cage so i gave in and gave it to him. I probably shouldn't have....he HAS given me a nice, huge, poopy gift in return...so he's fine...but here he is being a glutton. I am really glad he ate...but i was worried it was too big. I'm glad it wasn't....but boy did he look fat!
You could actually still feel his ribs, so, I bet you we won't be able to now *lol* Fatty!
I'm actually pretty proud of him, though i did worry like a silly mommy.

Re: Fat snake
Bitey's bulge is way less today. It's also moving towards the tail...ewwww *lol* I'm really glad though. You shouldn't be able to feel any of their ribs at any time! poor guy.
Now if i could just get "Ribs" to get his mind out of the gutter, he can have a big rat too *lol* i am glad he thinks he's healthy enough to have that on his mind though...still annoying but it's better than he was!

Re: Fat snake
I can't tell from the picture how large your snake is . I have a BP who is about 3 ft long . Judging from your picture I am guessing yours is close to the same size ? Trying to move mine to rats from jumbo mice but finding medium rats is next to impossible in this town .

Re: Fat snake
We have 3 places in town , just seems to be a shortage of med rats . We don't have close access to reptile shows here in Northern BC. I am actually working on trying to put one together this year. So far not able to drum up a lot of interest but will keep trying . I have even spoken to the Python Hunters and there is a chance they will come and maybe even bring the film crews if it can fit into the filming schedule . That would be so cool.
