Any rat/rabbit breeder in NY?

I'm from New York and in search of feeder rats or bunnies for my Burmese Python, possibly chickens also. Today i went to the pet store to get him his first rabbit, and they wanted $60 for a 5 week old rabbit! WTF so expensive

yeah, because they sell them for pets, not for food. Most pet stores are rip offs anyways.
You might have to order online, try rodentpro, they're prices are decent.

Aha! I posted here already and it vaporized.

I have jumbo rats, where in NY are you??

I'll give you a few if you are close enough, just so I don't have to feed them anymore.

I have been using RodentPro.com for over a year and I can't complain about the prices and the quality is great.

Re: Any rat/rabbit breeder in NY?

Hey guys.

I'm hoping to start a rodent breeding business in NYS.

I'm starting "small" this year and seeing if there is enough interest. If there is, I will hopefully be opening a full size facility.

I'm picking up about 500 mice this month. In probably another month or so I will be picking up about 500 rats.

I will also have ASF rats!

I am in Rochester NY but I do travel to Long Island at times. If there are times I'm traveling to Long Island and someone needs live or frozen mice/rats, I am more than happy to bring them with me.

If I get a large customer base along my route, I will start making trips once a month if not more (all depending on how many people I have interested).

I won't have rabbits anytime in the near future (they are a pain to breed and a ton of work large scale, been there, done that).

Just wanted to put that out there. PM me or email. If you want to tell me what sizes, how many, and how often you get your feeders, and how much you'd be willing to pay (be nice with these I'm starting out, prices will get better as I get larger), I can keep track of everyone and make sure I have enough available to meet your needs.

I can contact you all individually when the time comes and I can start making orders.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks!

Re: Any rat/rabbit breeder in NY?

Also, I breed fancy mice and true hairless mice. The true hairless guys are pricey though ;-)
