I got dubias!
i picked up a male and a female dubia roach at the show...
just need to know how to set them up and all that, i read about them, and did what the guy told me to do, but i would feel more comfortable if some one from here let me know!

right now, they are in a critter keeper that my scorpion was in. with some water. just let me know what you all should think i should do! thanks!!!

i have them set up in a tub, about 89 degrees, with some orangs, and paper towel ... some fake leaves too, just for fun. that sounds good?

You don't need any sort of substrate or tank liner. Do you have egg flats in there for them to hide in? Otherwise everything sounds great you will want to get some water crystals though and make sure you change the fruit daily if it molds it will kill your colony.

i dont have water crystals, not too sure where to get them... i have soem egg crates in there, need to get a few more, but i only have like 10 total roaches, with food... lol so they have plenty of hiding, i just like to have paper towel in there for look i suppose...

You can get water crystals at any pet store pretty much you can either buy the ones that have already had water added and they look like mooshy ice cubes or buy the crystals and then mix them with water. The only problem I see with paper towel is it would get nasty and remember you want to leave all the poop in there thats what the babies eat so you never have to clean the cage. Also when trying to get babies out I think a lot of them would be hiding under the paper towel.

In a pinch this works... I get mine locally and the roaches do use it.

my pet store has that stuff, ill pick some up tmorrow, if i cant get the crystals..... i do have some orange cube things my crickets eat/drink, will those work?

Yes, just fine.
Fave treat - Banana, put a slice of a fresh banana in there, they love them. just change daily, banana goes yucky quick.
Halloween is coming up, put a pumpkin chunk in there for a day.
