It's pathetic, really. Just like tattoos, I have this one one day and I'm already looking to increase my collection. I will behave, I will behave...
Thats what I told myself in August when I got my first snake. I know have two and another two on the way plus I added a bearded dragon as well lol. Snakes are addicting and ridiculously easy to maintain if you do your research.

Don't say that! Baby BRBs are going for $100 at a site I'm looking at, and it's so tempting. Credit card bills don't pay themselves, though. And I want a tarantula or two. I think I'm starting to understand this terrarium hobby, finally.

Re: New, just bought another snake :]

I believe it is Willow (correct me if I'm wrong) who has the signature "snakes are like potato chips you can never have just one" and it is so completely true. Brazilians are a stunning animal and there is some very good info on this site about them. Don't get a BRB because of the looks though because you'll hardly see the thing hahah. Mine perches every once in a while but is usually burrowed under the substrate with only her head sticking out. Its so funny the first day I had her I thought she escaped and tore her whole enclosure apart only to find her just hanging out under the substrate now I just look for her little head poking out.

Re: New, just bought another snake :]

I adore the size of BRBs and adored working with my friend's, so I'm not really wanting one for display. If I wanted an animal for display like that, I'd definitely look into a green tree python or ETB. It's one of the reasons why I love constrictors; handling them is part of what makes them amazing!

Welcome! Your new snake has some great markings, I am a sucker for the classic BP.

Re: New, just bought another snake :]

Thank you! I'm really pleased with Delphy (named it already ). There are so many morphs out there otherwise that it's rather tough to know where to begin.

mine does that too, except he doesn't poke his head out. And I tore my viv apart twice looking for my little guy.
