Eye problem?

I took Kaybe out today to take some photos and noticed something...

To the right of his eye (only this eye, the other eye is totally normal) I noticed there's like a blue-ish something on it... Take a look:

His belly is a tad bit pink, so this eye thing might just be because he's going to shed soon...? Or is it an eye infection of some kind? Temps and humidity are good as always. He's never been sick or anything in his life. Would appreciate some advice or reassurance. Thanks!

Re: Eye problem?

Could be a piece of retained shed from his last shed. I would wait it out for the next shed and see if it changes.

Re: Eye problem?

I would wait til the next shed. If the eye starts to swell, I would take it to a vet. I think it is just because the snake is going to shed.

Re: Eye problem?

That looks to me to be one of two things:

1) a stuck eyecap from his last shed and you're only noticing the edge of it because its' starting to peel up

2) he pulled too hard to get the eyecap off last shed and now the skin is pulled out a bit there

Either way, keep his humidity up for his next shed and make sure he gets his eyecaps off, and he'll be fine.
