i have decided on a black Blood python!
I hope i can find one at an expo... but if not i found a website online im going to try.
it is intriguingreptiles.com so if anyone has experiance with them, please let me know...
i will be going to the Cleveland reptile show Sep 18th and if they have one, i will get one... i was planning on getting a albino ball but that will be the last... sort of like a "going out with a bang'' to end my collection ...

Cool can't wait to see pictures when you get one. Another good place to get them is from Ben Siegel at Ben Siegel Reptiles Inc.. He got great snakes and reasonable shipping prices. I've gotten 4 of my snakes from him and might be getting some Red bloods from him.

I don't blame you- they are awesome snakes. Be picky about the temperament and be sure to handle any you're considering. Bloods can be touchy, but I've seen plenty of incredibly tame ones.

Plus there's quite few others. Kingsnake.com Classifieds > Blood Python Classifieds

Re: I've Decided......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally I don't find any difference from one subspecies to the next where Bloods are concerned. It's much more about the individual snake's disposition, and how one approaches it.
I've read for years that brongs are more difficult than breits, and that breits are more difficult than curtus, but I don't see that myself. I've also been reading for years that size is relative to subspecies and that it's the same order as above from largest to smallest ( brong -> breit -> curtus), but I can tell you that I've seen 7 footers of each and that I firmly believe size is more about lineage than it is relative to subspecies.
Of course, these are just things I've noticed over the years I've been working with them, so there are variables for every aspect, and they're just my personal opinions.
Best of luck with whatever you get
